Meet Dr. G.P. Schmidtke
Dr. Gilpatrick (G.P.) Schmidtke a native of Appleton and graduate of Xavier High School, completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Notre Dame in 1993 with a BA in Pre-Professional Studies and Psychology. He obtained his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Marquette University in 1997, graduating cum laude and earning membership in the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental academic fraternity. Dr. Schmidtke then earned his post-doctoral Master’s degree and completed his certification in orthodontics from Marquette University in 1999. He immediately joined his father in practice, Dr. Gilbert Schmidtke, where they had the opportunity to work together for 12 years before his father’s retirement.
Dr. Schmidtke has been a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics (board certified) since 2006 and is a member of the Angle Society of Orthodontists. He is also an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Wisconsin Society of Orthodontists, the Wisconsin Dental Association, and the Outagamie County Dental Association.
Dr. Schmidtke has two wonderful boys, Jack and Phillip. When not straightening teeth, Dr. Schmidtke enjoys playing golf, exercise and fitness, sporting events, and enjoying time with family and friends.
