Dr. Gilbert J. Schmidtke

In 1974, I graduated from Marquette University School of Dentistry with a Master’s Degree in Orthodontics. I opened a practice on the north side of Appleton, at that time at the edge of the city. Of course, I had no idea how things would go. But, thank God, I was blessed to meet and help so many wonderful children and parents! 

It’s almost impossible to express how much I enjoyed working with my great staff to give smiles to the kids and adults of Appleton. I only wish I could have done it forever! However, my son has the same vision and passion! I am thankful that he continues to create smiles for patients to enjoy for a lifetime!

Now that I’m retired, I get to spend a lot more time with my wife Roxanne, and enjoy our three grandchildren, Alex, Jack and Phillip.
